EAPC World Congress attracts attendees from all over the globe and is regarded as an important annual event in the palliative care calendar. It is expected more than 2.000 participants from around the world in Helsinki. The EAPC congress is a global forum for interdisciplinary education, research and professional interchange.
The call to submit a grant proposal for an extension of JANE was launched in the autumn 2023 and the application proved successful. JANE2 is funded by the EU4Health program, will run for four years from November 2024, and is also coordinated by Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (Italy).
Data from the MENAC trial were presented at 2024 ASCO Annual meeting (LBA12007) by lead researcher Tora S. Solheim, MD, PhD of the Cancer Clinic at St. Olavs Hospital, Norway.
